HPD: Man throws jar at elderly, wheelchair-bound stepfather

Jimmy Ray Sheeley is accused of hitting his elderly stepfather with a jar.

HOUSTON - A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his elderly, wheelchair-bound stepfather with a jar.

Houston police said Jimmy Ray Sheeley, 48, hit Jessie Crew, 75, in the neck with a jar on Wednesday.

According to police, Sheeley became angry when Crew asked his stepson for his medication. Investigators said that's when Sheeley threw the jar at Crew.

Crew was treated for a minor injury.

Sheeley was charged with injury to the elderly. He is being held without bond in the Harris County Jail.
