HPD: Man steals cat food from southwest Houston Walmart

HOUSTON - A man has been accused of stealing food from a southwest Houston Walmart.

Mack Henry Weldon, 62, has been charged with theft.

Houston police said Weldon paid for a few items at the store on Beechnut near South Kirkwood on Jan. 11, but he tried to leave with some items he didn't buy.

Detectives said Weldon stole three packages of meat, one package of seafood, one package of cat food and one container of meat.

Weldon was booked into the Harris County Jail with bond set at $1,500.
