Houston woman's truck decal asks for kidney donor for husband

HOUSTON – After a Fort Bend County woman posted a profane, anti-Trump message on her truck’s rear window, a Houston woman is now doing something similar, except her message is a plea for a kidney donor to help her sick husband.

The profane message slamming Trump that reads “F**k Trump and F**k you for voting for him” was noted in a Facebook post by Fort Bend County Sheriff Troy Nehls. That post has since been deleted.

Karen Fonseca was identified as the driver of the truck after the post went viral on social media.

Stephanie Talbot is not impressed. And she’s a little miffed about constantly seeing the same angry missive pop up on her social media pages.

“It irked me this morning when I saw it and there it was, all I was seeing over and over, and I was just ‘why?’” she said.

On Wednesday morning, she posted a photo on Facebook comparing the anti-Trump screed to the message emblazoned on her own truck.

It’s plea for a kidney donor for her husband Paul.

She’s waiting to see if it goes viral.

“Why can’t you share something that’s good, why do you have to share the ugliness?” she said.

Her husband, Paul Talbott, suffers from a genetic kidney disease. About a year ago, he began losing kidney function, which is now down to about 6 percent.

“It’s FSGF, filtration disease. And basically, both kidneys are failing now,” she said.

Stephanie's message includes Paul’s blood type, a phone number and a Facebook address, ShareYourSpareWithPaul.

Since she plastered the message on her truck a few months ago, there have been some offers, not all of them good.

“We’ve had some people say, 'I’ll give you my kidney for money.' You can’t do that,” she said.

But at least one donor has stepped forward that may prove to be the match Paul needs, although it's still uncertain.

In the meantime, she’d like to see her message get the same play as the other one, but she’s not holding her breath.

Paul is in line for a transplant if they have can match the donor.

They expect to know for sure in the next couple of months.

I have posted 2 pictures to share and hope that you will share the one non political one instead of the other! While...
