Houston Public Library opening 19 locations post-Harvey

HOUSTON – The Houston Public Library is opening several locations Tuesday now that Hurricane Harvey has passed.

The Houston Public Library said it is "able to provide the resources, services and personal help to meet the needs Houstonian(s) have during this time."

Hours for these locations are 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. through September 9.

Twenty-three libraries remain closed following Harvey. The Houston Public Library said staff are currently out checking on the locations to get a better assessment of the damage from Harvey.
