Officials with the Houston Marathon said they've picked their runners for the 2014 marathon and half marathon.

The races have already sold out, and organizers said that's the ninth consecutive time this has happened.

"We are so thankful to all the runners who chose Houston and have faithfully chosen Houston annually to reach our ninth straight sellout this year," said Executive Director Wade Morehead. "We're excited to introduce our new courses in January, because we believe it will enhance race day in many ways."

Officials with the race said although the lottery participants have been chosen, runners can still enter the 2014 marathon and half marathon races through the Chevron Houston Marathon's Run for a Reason charity program. Charity entries are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Race day for the 42nd Chevron Houston Marathon and the 13th Aramco Houston Half Marathon is Sunday, January 19.
