HOUSTON – Several school districts in the Houston area made the 2018 list for Best School Districts in Texas.
According to the website Niche, the rankings are based on rigorous analysis of key statistics, data from the U.S. Department of Education and millions of reviews from students and parents using Niche.

Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, public school district rankings and more.
Katy ISD ranked 14th on the list, with Pearland ISD coming in 16th. Friendswood ISD rounds out the top 20.
