Homeless man struck by vehicle in SW Houston parking lot

HOUSTON – A homeless man was taken to the hospital in serious condition after being struck by a car in the 8800 block of Richmond Avenue on Friday, according to police.

The man was struck by a white Cadillac being driven by an elderly woman, police said.

The woman had just finished exchanging information with another driver due to a minor accident, police said.

When she pulled into a nearby parking lot, she ran over the homeless man, who authorities said was laying on the ground.

The man was struck near the intersection of Richmond Avenue and Fondren Road.

The woman remained at the scene, according to police.
