HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - The Harris County Sheriff's Department is responding to a home invasion in northwest Harris County.

It happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday on the 6300 block of Chippewa Boulevard near Antoine Drive.

Authorities say three men with guns charged a woman when she answered the door. The men stole several items from the house, according to officials.

A person from the house tried to follow the men out, but one of them fired shots at that person, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

We are told the woman was home with seven children when someone broke in the house from ages 1 through 13.

One of the men has since been arrested.
