HOUSTON - Deputies aboard a Harris County Sheriff's Office helicopter are being credited with the arrest of a burglary suspect after spotting a homeowner wrestling with the suspect from the air, officials said.

The helicopter was conducting proactive patrol around noon on Monday near the 21,000 block of Berryvine in north Harris County when they received a call regarding the burglary in progress.

The homeowner said he was in the process of moving out Monday when he saw three people carrying some of his belongings near the bayou behind his home.

The homeowner and his father-in-law confronted the suspects and were able to hold one of them until officials arrived.

Within minutes of the call Sgt. Don Plant and his helicopter crew were able to spot the homeowner holding the suspect down.

Charges of burglary habitation are pending for the captured suspect.

Deputies are looking for the two others that got away.
