Game room robbery caught on camera

Suspects rob customers, bar at gunpoint

HOUSTON - Surveillance video obtained exclusively by Local 2 shows two men storming into a crowded game room with guns drawn.

At around 1 a.m. on May 30, two men wearing masks came in through the back door of the Just-a-Bar on Beechnut.

In surveillance video, one of the men is wearing a bandanna wrapped around the face, while the other wears a ski mask. Both of the men were wearing socks, instead of gloves, to cover their hands.

At one point during the robbery, one of the robbers is heard calling the other "Chris."

Once inside, the men went right up to the customers and put guns to their heads, demanding they hand over their cash and valuables, the video showed.

Investigators said what is not seen in the video is when one of the robbers went over to the cash register and takes money out of the drawer. They then forced everyone into the woman's bathroom at gunpoint before taking off, officials said.

Detectives said there was a third accomplice waiting outside in a getaway car, possibly a gold-colored Chrysler Sebring.

Authorities said they hope someone who recognizes the suspects will see the video and turn them in.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
