Four teens shot, one killed in party shooting

HOUSTON - One person died early Saturday morning after a fight broke out at a party in southwest Houston.

Police said there were so many people at the party, the guests had spilled out into the front yard.

Around 12:30 a.m., investigators said several cars pulled up in front of the house on Tiffany Drive.

Houston police said an argument started and someone opened fire. Four of the guests were shot, and one of those party-goers died at the scene. That victim has been identified as Braveon Terry, 17.

After the shooting, police said everyone scattered.

Two of the victims were shot in the leg and left the scene in a car with a friend. Police originally believed they were the gunmen and pulled over the white Impala. When the officer realized they were victims, however, they sent the victims to the hospital.

Another victim ran away from the party to escape the shooters. That victim was picked up a few blocks away from the party and transported to the hospital.

Shell casings covered Tiffany Drive. Several stray bullets hit cars nearby, including an SUV that had just pulled up at a house across the street from the party.

One bullet hit the windshield of that SUV and another shattered the passenger side mirror, narrowly missing a woman inside.

"It was like, instead of getting shot with a bullet, I was shot with glass. Last night they were pulling glass out of my neck and my face," said Juliette Goudeau.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Houston Police Department at 713-884-3131.

A similar shooting happened the week before, on the night of Nov. 9. In both cases, the hosts promoted the party on social media sites.
