HOUSTON – Dameon Johnson, 36, was found murdered five years ago Monday. Now, his family and homicide investigators are asking the public's help to track down the possible killer(s) and the reward in the case has been increased.
Johnson's family held a press conference Monday morning. The reward was increased to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Houston police said the father of two was fatally shot within a few minutes of leaving his home to head to work at an AutoZone, where he was a manager, on March 19, 2013. He kissed his fiancee goodbye at 6:45 a.m. and 911 got a call about him at 7:01 a.m., investigators said.
The call was originally reported as a wreck, but when officers got to the scene in the 8200 block of Peachtree they found Johnson's body in a ditch on the other side of the street from his pickup truck, which was still running and not damaged.
Detectives said they think something happened while Johnson was on the road -- possibly a chase or confrontation. Officials said they found skid marks on a nearby street, but they don't know if that's related to the killing.
Johnson's family said they want answers and justice.
Johnson's 12-year-old daughter Asia Johnson, who was 7 year old when her father was killed, is asking why her father was taken away from her.
"I myself as a daughter of my dad and as a child of the family, feel that we need peace. It is very hard to not have an amazing father. And I only had one word to say when this happened. And my one word was why?" she said.
