FEMA data map shows income levels of areas hardest hit by Harvey flooding

HOUSTON – A new map created with Federal Emergency Management Agency data shows the areas of the most severe flooding in and around Houston from Hurricane Harvey, in addition to income level data for each U.S. Census tract.

The map is the latest addition to a "Harvey By The Numbers" project.

"As the city continues to keep Houstonians up to date on what happened and how we're responding, the new map is another compelling piece of information that helps us understand the flood and our massive recovery efforts," Mayor Sylvester Turner said. "Different parts of the city suffered differently, yet we leave no neighborhood behind as the recovery progresses one day at a time."

The map, which was developed by Bloomberg Associates, a nonprofit organization that advises cities on how to most effectively deal with complex challenges, can be seen by clicking here.
