FBI seeks answers in attempted bank robbery

The FBI is hoping to identify this man who attempted to rob a Chase Bank in west Houston.

HOUSTON – The FBI Robbery Task Force is investigating a bank robbery in northwest Houston.

A man entered a Chase bank at 4165 FM 1960 West at about 1:55 p.m. Authorities say he approached the teller counter and showed a threatening note, but no weapon was seen.

The man did not get any money and left the bank in an unknown direction. There were no injuries.

Bank surveillance footage captured pictures of the man.

The robber is described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern man with dark complexion and is in his late 30s to mid 40s. Authorities say the man is about 5-foot-9 inches tall to 5-foot-10 with a medium build, black hair and a light beard.

Authorities say the man wore a round cloth hat, a black shirt, khaki cargo pants and sunglasses.
