HOUSTON - A man was shot to death outside his own home as came home with groceries. Now his family is speaking out, hoping someone will come forward and help solve this crime.

Nhan Huynh, 32, was coming home from the grocery store when he was shot and killed Friday night. He and his girlfriend lived on Darling not far from T.C. Jester, north of I-10.

"My brother was a good person," said his brother, who asked that we not show his face.

He said he has no idea why anyone would kill his younger brother, who he says was always willing to help, especially his family.

"It's very devastating. We all have lost a family member. My beloved brother. My mom loved her son. She loved him the most out of the family. And now she's just lost. My mom is not doing too well," he said.

He said his brother had bought a ring and was planning to propose to his girlfriend, but never got the opportunity. Now the family is setting up a donation site to raise reward money to help find the killer.

"We just want to know why. If there is a good reason, if you do have a good reason. We don't see any reason. But you, the killer, have a good enough reason to take a life, in this world, we just want to know why," he said.

Now he and his family are planning a funeral.

"I want my brother back," he said.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for Huynh.
