A teenager was killed Friday in Clute, in what police said is the first homicide in more than a year.
The 18-year-old, who family identified as Michael Holmes, was shot multiple times around 1:30 a.m. at a home at the Royal Wildewood Manor Apartments in the 200 block of Dixie Drive, police said.
Officers found Holmes' body inside the apartment.
Family and friends gathered outside the apartment in prayer.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
