HOUSTON – After spending a lot of time out in the sun over the Summer, your skin is probably tired and in need of some rejuvenation. One place you can do that is at Trellis the Spa at the Houstonian. Local 2's Ruben Galvan takes you inside the Spa with a budget-friendly facial recipe to make right at home.

Ingredients

*   (1/4)  Unripe papaya

*   2 ripe Kiwi

*   1 tablespoon Sweet almond oil

*   (1/4) of a fresh lemon

*   (1/4) cup of plain yogurt

Instructions:

Cleanse: This facial combines 1 Tbsp plain Greek yogurt with 2 tsp olive oil and 1/2 tsp lemon oil (not to be confused with lemon juice; lemon oil is an essential oil that can be found at health food stores). The mixture should be a little bit runny but not easily poured out. Massage it over skin, then immediately wipe it off with a washcloth soaked in tepid water. This can be done daily.

Brighten: Peel and cut kiwi into chunks then Peel and remove seeds from papaya and cut (1/4) of the papaya into chunks puree in blender until smooth. Mix the pureed Kiwi and papaya with the yogurt. Finish the mixture with the squeezed lemon juice and the almond oil. Spoon a dollop of the mixture onto your finger tips and smooth over face avoiding the eye area. Gently massage mask into face and neck in small circular motions (you may feel tingling) . Leave the mask on and allow to dry for 15 - 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

Mask can last up to one week if kept refrigerated.
