'Extremely dangerous' man sought in 2 Harris County homicides, officials say

HOUSTON – Authorities said Tuesday they are searching for a man who is accused of committing two homicides since December.

Harris County deputies and Houston police said they are looking for 32-year-old Ronald Smith.

Smith is accused of killing Michael Ware, 33, on Sunday afternoon on Bammel Village Drive in northwest Harris County. Investigators said Ware’s children were nearby at the time he was killed.

“That could be anybody’s children that’s (sic) involved,” said Alfred Vera, of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. “We would want somebody to, you know, really dig down and call us and tell us where this individual could be or where he could be hanging out at.”

Authorities said Smith is also wanted in connection with a homicide in December on Veterans Memorial Drive.

Officials said Smith is considered extremely dangerous.

Anyone with information on Smith’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
