Dynamo players lose their hair for children's cancer research

4th annual Bald is Beautiful campaign

HOUSTON – Nearly a dozen Houston Dynamo players went from the field to the barber's chair on Tuesday to raise money and awareness.

"It's hot out here," Dynamo forward Will Bruin said beforehand. "Ready to get this hair cut off!"

They cut their hair for cancer, in the fourth annual Bald is Beautiful campaign at BBVA Compass Stadium.

"It's all gone," Bruin said after his head was shaved. "I can already feel the breeze!"

Cancer patients from area hospitals shaved the heads of the players.

"It's easy for me to get emotional on something like this, because these guys are going through something that I don't understand," said Dynamo goalkeeper Tally Hall. "But if I can come and brighten their children's day a little bit, I have to do it."
