Dye packs explode after bank robbed

STAFFORD, Texas - Police are searching for two men who robbed a bank.

Stafford police said the men held up the Houston Community Bank in the 13800 block of Murphy Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Witnesses told investigators that the robbers had at least one gun.

The men jumped into a getaway car, where dye packs that were in with the money exploded, detectives said.

The robbers ditched the getaway car, which had been reported stolen, and have not been seen since, police said.

Descriptions of the robbers have not been released.
