Driver wanted for hitting cyclist and fleeing

SUGAR LAND, Texas - Sugar Land police are looking for the person who hit a cyclist and fled the scene.

The incident happened just after midnight on Lexington Boulevard near Riverbend Crossing. When police arrived, they say a woman was lying face down in the road and bleeding from her face.

There was a damaged bicycle next to her and a large amount of broken glass on the roadway.

The woman couldn't remember what happened. She was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is expected to recover.
