HOUSTON – A driver was hit and killed by a vehicle Sunday as he ran across a freeway, police said.
The incident was reported about 2:30 a.m. on the inbound lanes of Interstate 10 at Hahlo.

Houston police said a green pickup truck was parked on the left side of the road when an SUV ran into the back of the truck. Police said the driver of the green truck was unhurt, but the driver of the SUV ran on foot into the main lanes of the freeway, where he was hit and killed by another vehicle.
It is unknown as to why the man ran.
I-10 inbound at Kress Street and the access road were closed.
The incident is under investigation.
