HOUSTON – At least five vehicles were damaged Friday night when a driver crashed into traffic that was backed up on the westbound lanes of I-10.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said deputies were called out to investigate at around 11 p.m. after a man was hit and killed by a car at the Dell Dale exit ramp. Deputies said the man was crossing the freeway on foot when the car struck him.

HCSO said during its investigation, a person driving under the influence was speeding on I-10 and crashed into several cars that had stopped in the westbound lanes.
Deputies say five to seven vehicles, including an 18-wheeler, were involved in the crash.
