Driver arrested after crashing into tree

Police said the driver appeared to be intoxicated

HOUSTON - A driver was taken into custody following a major accident in north Houston on Monday.

Houston police said the wreck happened on Airline Drive and Fosbak Street at around 1 a.m.

Police said the driver lost control of his SUV and hit a tree before his vehicle flipped on its side.

Firefighters had to rescue the driver from his SUV. He is expected to be OK.

Police said the man appeared to be intoxicated. He was taken into police custody. His name was not released.
