Deputies: Man used toilet seat to vandalize constable cruiser

Suspect found passed out in cruiser, deputies say

CONROE, Texas – A man used a toilet seat and a concrete parking barrier to vandalize a Montgomery County deputy constable's cruiser Monday morning, deputies said.

According to Montgomery County Precinct 2 deputy constables, someone who was passing by the precinct office about 6:15 a.m. saw the bashed-up cruiser and called police.

Deputies said that when officers arrived, they found the man believed to be responsible, identified as 19-year-old Dionis Luque-Estrada, passed out in the front seat of the vehicle.

"The suspect was seated behind the steering wheel in the driver's seat when the Conroe police officer drove up," Precinct 2 Chief Deputy Stever Roper said

Luque-Estrada, 19, who deputies said appeared to be intoxicated, used a toilet seat and a concrete car stop to smash the windows out of the vehicle.

Deputies said Luque-Estrada will likely be charged with criminal mischief. The charge could rise to the level of a state jail felony, depending on the dollar amount attached to the damage.

The vehicle was recently added to the constable's fleet, deputies said.

A motive was unclear Monday.

"It's just another attack on law enforcement. We've come under attack coast to coast and this is just a continuance of it. It's a sad situation," Roper said.
