Deputies: Armed men ambush, rob high school student in Spring

SPRING, Texas – A Spring High School student says he was ambushed and robbed at gunpoint Monday while walking home along a trail.

"I was walking back from my friend’s house playing Xbox and four dudes jumped out of the forest and pulled a gun on me, pointed it at the back of my head," he said.

The trail is near Reynaldo Drive and Glendower Drive, not far from Jenkins Elementary School.

"They just said make it easy, empty out your pockets," the boy recalled.

He handed over all he had: his cellphone, his school ID badge and a pair of earbuds.

"They just told me to walk the other way and they walked back to where they was," he told Channel 2 News.

The Harris County Precinct 4 constable's office is investigating, but says the teen wasn't able to give them a good description of the robbers.
