Deer Park ISD substitute teacher accused of sexting student

DEER PARK, Texas – A Deer Park Independent School District substitute teacher has been arrested, accused of sending and receiving sexual texts with a student.

Police said on June 1, officers with the Deer Park Police Department were called to South Campus High School for a report of an inappropriate teacher-student relationship.

DPPD officers said that during the investigation, the student and substitute teacher, Blake Saucillo, 22, were sending one another messages after school.  Police said the two had been sending sexually explicit videos, pictures and texts over several days.

Tuesday, DPPD investigators filed a warrant on sexual performance of a child and arrested Saucillo at his home.

Deer Park ISD released the following statement Tuesday:

Earlier today, the Deer Park Police Department informed the District that a former substitute teacher was arrested today.

On June 1, a student at Deer Park High School-South Campus reported to a school employee that another female student had been involved in an inappropriate relationship with the substitute teacher.  School administrators immediately reported the incident to the police, and they began investigating it with the District's full cooperation.

Police determined that the substitute teacher and the female student, who was a sophomore at the time, were involved in "afterhours communication via electronic means," including sexting by sending each other explicit videos, photos, and messages. According to police, there is no evidence of inappropriate behavior taking place at the school.

The man was immediately removed from the District's substitute system, making him ineligible to work for the District. The man worked as a DPISD substitute teacher from Feb. 11-May 29 of this year.
