Pedestrian dies in crash in SE Houston

HOUSTON – A pedestrian was killed Saturday after being hit by a vehicle in the 2600 block of Holmes, according to Houston police.

The woman was struck by a vehicle at 4:40 a.m. and was found on the south side of the road, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene, police said. Police said there were no witnesses.

The identity of the woman is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
