HOUSTON - Police said crooks used their truck to smash through a convenience store in southeast Houston.

It happened at a store on Almeda near Hermann.

Investigators said the crooks were driving a blue pickup truck. No word yet on what, if anything the crooks were able to get away with.

This is the third smash-and-grab style robbery in a week.

On Tuesday, crooks used a pickup to smash through a store on Lyons near Majestic in northeast Houston, leaving a gaping hole in the front. In that case, the suspects took off, leaving the truck behind.
