HOUSTON – A death investigation is underway in the Third Ward after a woman's body was found.
Police said a passerby found the woman' body lying in the utility room of an abandoned house in the 2900 block of Rosalie just before noon Thursday. Upon the discovery, officials said the witness ran out of the house and told a relative who then called 911.

Investigators are working to determine an official cause of death.
