Surveillance video released of woman before slaying

HOUSTON - Houston police have released surveillance video of a woman who was killed in northeast Houston.

Angelica Garibay, 40, was found dead in the 1300 block of Lorraine around 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 22. Firefighters had responded to a grass fire in the area, but it turned out to be a trash fire.Garibay's body was found beneath a piece of plywood in the back of a vacant washateria. 

The cause of Garibay's death is pending.

Surveillance video recorded shortly before her death shows Garibay alone near the intersection of Chapman and Lorraine and then meeting up with an unknown man.  Detectives believe Garibay had just left the Castillos Bar in the 1400 block of Lorraine.
