HOUSTON – A Houston mother is accused of leaving her 2-year-old daughter at home alone for several hours.
It happened on Jan. 15, 2014 at an apartment complex in the 6100 block of Glenmont Drive.

Police were called to the apartment complex after the 2-year-old girl was found wandering alone.
The complex manager told police that she recognized the child, who at the time was only wearing a night gown and was without shoes or socks.
The child's mother, identified as 40-year-old Kali Tamang, later arrived to the apartment and spoke with police.
Officials said Tamang admitted to leaving the child by herself while her husband was at work.
Tamang's daughter told police that the toddler was sleeping when she and her mother left the apartment earlier in the morning.
Authorities said they were gone until noon.
Tamang is charged with abandoning a child with intent to return.
Her bond was set at $2,000. Her next court appearance is May 12.
