Crooks target beauty supply store, church

Police: Surveillance camera records thieves

HOUSTON - Surveillance video caught three men carrying boxes and bags out of beauty supply shop in northeast Houston.

It happened at the Solid and Gold Beauty Supply in the 10000 block of Homestead Road.

"They break the censors and everything. They just keep coming in," said Carolina Griamado with the store.

The store owner said this is the second time within a month someone has smashed through his walls. Each time, he said the burglars steal hair. On Monday morning, the thieves stole more than $40,000 worth of hair.

Christian Fellowship Center Church is next door to the store.

"It's bothersome because the church is trying to be an inspiration to the community," said pastor Charles Banks.

According to the pastor, someone did this to his back wall sometime after Sunday and he thinks it might be the same person or people who broke in the store.

"We've been picked out to be victims ourselves over something so senseless. Why would you cut a hole in the wall knowing you're not going to help fix it afterwards?" Banks said.

Police are investigating both cases and said they do not have anyone in custody at this time.
