2 men hospitalized after shooting

Argument quickly escalates to gun fire in Sharpstown

HOUSTON - A fight in Sharpstown took a dangerous turn when someone started shooting.

Around 8:30 p.m. Friday evening, the Houston Police Department was called after several men got into a physical fight in the parking lot of the Linda Square Apartments.

Police said the men started throwing bricks at each other's cars, which dented and smashed the windows.

In the midst of the fight, someone pulled out a gun and started shooting. Officials said two people were shot.

One victim, a 20-year-old man, was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition, while the other victim, a 22-year-old man, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition. 

Police do not know what caused the fight, or if it was gang related.

Houston police said the suspects are described as Hispanic males between the ages of 16 and 20.
