CLEVELAND - Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies have made an arrest in the Monday night shooting death of a convenience store clerk.
Nineteen-year-old Joseph Gutierrez is in custody and charged with capital murder. A 13-year-old boy has also been detained as a person of interest, but no charges have been filed against him.
Investigators say two men stormed into the Shell gas station on Highway 105 and Walker Road in Cleveland around 9:30 p.m Monday.
Customers could only watch in horror as the pair of thieves shot and killed the clerk behind the counter.
The victim owned the gas station with his brother. Everyone in the community called him Sam. He had worked there for about 15 years.
