Pedestrian killed in crash involving METRORail train

HOUSTON – A deadly crash involving a METRORail train and a pedestrian is under investigation in north Houston.

The crash was reported about 10 a.m. Thursday  near the intersection of Crosstimbers and Fulton streets.

The male pedestrian was crossing the tracks when he was struck by the METRORail train.

The man was killed.

The train operator and the passengers onboard the train were not injured.

Service was shut down for more than four hours while investigators are at the scene.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
