HOUSTON - Constables say a woman is recovering after she was ambushed and sexually assaulted at her own home.

Around 12:30 pm Friday, Precinct 5 deputy constables said the woman was at a house on Jodie Lynn Circle in northwest Harris County when she was ambushed by the men. Investigators said they believe there were two attackers.

Jeff Patschke said he saw patrol cars and ambulances surround his neighbor's home. And soon, investigators were scouring the streets.

"The constable came up to me in the driveway and asked me if I had seen anybody at the house or anybody driving away," said Patschke.

As they searched, the woman was rushed to the hospital. Officials said she is expected to survive.

Just three days earlier and three miles from this crime scene, sheriff's investigators said a teenage girl was beaten and raped on Spring Cypress Road. Investigators said the girl played dead until her attacker walked away, then ran naked and bleeding to a nearby movie theater for help.

Precinct 5 deputy constables said they have no reason to believe the two cases are related, but the crimes add to the growing fears for neighbor Lindsay Kincy and other mothers who worry for their safety and their children's.

"It's scary, because you know my daughter sometimes take my son to the park and now she's not going to," said Kincy.
