HOUSTON - HOUSTON – The Conoco-Phillips Wellness Building in southwest Houston has been evacuated for a chemical leak.

Houston Fire Department firefighters and a hazmat team responded to the leak around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday at the building located in the 600 block of North Dairy Ashford at Eldridge Parkway.

Firefighters say pool chemicals in a storage area near the pool mixed together and caused a small vapor.

As a precaution, fire crews evacuated the entire building.

Four employees were treated and transported to the hospital for precautionary reasons only.

HFD has asked drivers to avoid the area of N. Dairy Ashford and N. Eldridge.
