According to reports, when deputies arrived to investigate, they saw a vehicle leaving the house and stopped the driver, Tarrell Nowlin.

Nowlin led deputies back to the house and told them a friend had given him the 2005 Chevy Tahoe a few days earlier, and that he was cutting the vehicle into pieces so he could scrap it, deputies said.

Deputies located the VIN number from the vehicle and found it had been stolen Jan. 16.

Nowlin was arrested for theft and possession of methamphetamine, which deputies said they found in Nowlin's car.

"Thanks to a concerned citizen that took the time to notify law enforcement, we were able to locate a stolen vehicle, take more methamphetamine off the street and make several felony arrests," said Precinct 4 Constable Kenneth Hayden. "If you see something suspicious, please take the time to call dispatch and let us know."
