HOUSTON - How important is your physical and emotional well-being?
If you’re looking for ways to enhance it, then taking part in Global Wellness Day on Saturday may be just the thing for you.
“Global Wellness Day is celebrated internationally at spas and fitness centers to shed light on everything wellness,” Tiny Hay, of the Four Seasons Spa, said.
This Saturday, June 10, the Four Seasons Spa in Downtown Houston is offering several complimentary classes in honor of the Global Wellness Day.
It’s a celebration of the practice of nourishing the mind, body and soul.
“You have to take care of all aspects. We’re talking about massaging that can help to relax the body, get rid of the stress and to take care of yourself mentally so you have energy and regenerate yourself,” Hay said.
The day will start with a sunrise yoga class, followed by a 30-minute class called Sphere by Michael Chabala.
“It’s a high-intensity cardio workout. It also incorporates some core work,” Hay said.
Participants will play fast and train like a professional soccer player with a combination of interval cardiovascular treadmill routines and medicine ball strength training.
A smoothie workshop and wellness cooking class are also being offered.
“You can learn about the benefits of plant-based proteins and super-foods,” Hay said.
