HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Two men stormed into a convenience store in northwest Harris County and assaulted the clerk when he resisted them, according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The robbery occurred at the Texaco on Barker Cypress and W. Little York at around midnight Sunday.

"After midnight, I saw like four cop cars parked out here, and we know the people in here," said customer Nathan Piper. "We come in here a lot and we wanted to know what happened, and it is pretty crazy."

Local 2 obtained exclusive surveillance video of the robbery showing the men pulling up and pushing the clerk back in the store at gunpoint.

Deputies said when the man fought back, the crook hit the man in the nose with his pistol.

As the clerk fell to the ground, the gunmen jumped over the counter to get to the cash register. Deputies said one of the gunmen was not able to catch himself and hit his face on the ground.

When they realized his nose was bleeding all over the floor, deputies said the gunmen jumped back over the counter and ran off with no money.

"I think that is hilarious and he deserves it," said Piper.

The clerk had to crawl to a nearby business to get help. Deputies said he was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The clerk has since been released from the hospital.

The store owner said this was not the first time his store has been targeted by crooks.
