NORTHWEST HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A child hit by a car in northwest Harris County remained in critical condition late Thursday.
Investigators said the accident happened during on Kuykendahl road and Louetta road at about 5:30 p.m.
Three kids were on their bikes and trying to cross the street when deputies said one of them tried to get ahead and was hit.
"He was with three other juveniles. They were all trying to cross and he was the first one to come across," said Phillip Lillibridge with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said the boy suffered some cuts and bruises and a serious wound to the head.
The driver isn't expected to face charges.
