HOUSTON - It was a food challenge you'd have to see to believe and it was done on a $3 budget.

That challenge took place Tuesday night at the Ikea store in west Houston.

Six area sous-chefs from some of Houston's best restaurants, competed in the Great Ramen Challenge. The contestants were given a budget of only $3 to purchase all of their ingredients.

They also had to "wow" the public as well as a panel of celebrity judges.

Lyle Bento from Underbelly ended up taking home the title in the food challenge, by adding Spam and hot dogs to the noodles.

The Great Ramen Challenge also raised $6,000 dollars for the Houston Food Bank.
