HOUSTON – A chase through northwest Harris County on Wednesday ended with five people in custody.
The chase started at a T-Mobile store around noon near the intersection of Fallbrook Drive and Jones Road.
Officials said three men in a red Dodge car drove up and down Jones Road near F.M. Road 1960 before crashing at 12:15 p.m. near Mills Road and F.M. Road 1960.
The three men jumped out of the vehicle and ran to the Wellington Park Apartments.
Ishi Aaron lives at the apartments where deputies located the suspects.
"They had one guy here on the bottom with dog bites and the second guy here just now pulling him out of the house a couple of cops ran to the top and put him in handcuffs," Aaron said.
Video from Sky 2 showed Harris County deputies scouring an apartment complex where the chase ended.
Deputies said one man was caught running through the complex, and another man was caught hiding inside an apartment, while the third man was caught trying to jump over the apartment complex fence. It is unknown where the fourth and fifth men were caught.
According to authorities, two men were bitten by K-9s and treated by EMS.
Harris County deputies believe these men might be linked to a robbery at a Jersey Village T-Mobile at 17408 Northwest Freeway on Tuesday.
Deputies said the men might also be linked to a string of robberies that took place at a Shipleys, Dunkin Donut's and T-Mobile store.
The arrests mark what investigators hope is the end of a two-week crime spree.
"I'm glad we got them today, very glad citizens of Harris County should be glad as well," said Lieutenant Jeff Stauber.
