HOUSTON - When the Astros won the city of Houston its first World Series in history, everyone on that team became our family. And their family became our family. That includes their furry, four-legged family members. So learning that Carlos Correa’s dog was injured is almost too much to handle.

Correa posted videos Groot on his Instagram story, showing the sweet pup with a cone around his head.

The latest video is from Tuesday. Groot is hanging out at practice with Correa. He seems to be doing well, running around and having fun -- even while wearing the cone.

Monday's video was a little more heartbreaking. Correa’s fiancée Daniella Rodriguez was in the video feeding Groot peanut butter. Correa wrote: “Poor baby got hurt so we give him peanut butter to make him feel better.”

There’s no word what happened to Groot. We even checked his own personal Instagram page (yes the dog has Instagram) for any clues. Nothing.

Whatever happened, we're thinking about you, Groot! And we know your parents are taking good care of you!
