KATY, Texas - Bus routes were the hot topic at Tuesday night's Katy I.S.D. board meeting.
Parents are upset because dozens of bus routes were eliminated just weeks before the new school year began. Parents say some students are being forced to walk nearly two miles.
The school district says it doesn't have enough bus drivers but it is working on a solution while it tries to hire new drivers.
District officials said they hope to add more routes in the next month.
