Burglary suspect escapes Friendswood Police custody

FRIENDSWOOD, Texas – A man escaped Friendswood police custody early Sunday, the department said. 

The man, identified as Khaled Abdelrahman Azzeh, 31, of Webster, was arrested after someone spotted him looking into vehicles and opening car doors in the 3500 block of Arezzo Circle. He was arrested and booked into the Friendswood City Jail, police said.

Officials were in the process of booking Azzeh in the Harris County Jail when he pushed an officer down and escaped on foot. He was still wearing handcuffs and a jail uniform shirt when he took off, police said.

Investigators said they searched for Azzeh but were not successful in locating him.

He is described as a white, standing 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He has a tattoo of a star with a skull on his shoulder, a tattoo of a panther on one arm and a tattoo of a clown with a gun on his back, police said.

Azzeh is expected to face additional charges.
