HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Relatives of 39-year-old Felicia Minor told Local 2 their hearts are heavy as they anxiously wait to hear from the Harris County homicide investigators and the Medical Examiner.
They fear the worst because the white Nissan Altima that had been set on fire next to a bayou in northwest Harris County belongs to Minor.
Firefighters discovered a charred body inside the car and Minor is nowhere to be found. Her sister told Local 2 the last time she saw her was Thursday. Minor's family members believe Minor's fiancé, 41-year-old Derrick Worrell holds all the answers.
Police arrested him Monday in connection with a robbery that took place near the homicide scene, and was charged with murder Wednesday.
According to court papers, the couple had a history of domestic violence. Houston police arrested Worrell in February for allegedly assaulting Minor.
Houston policesaid Minor claimed he grabbed her by the neck and punched her during a dispute.
The autopsy is expected to take 24-48 hours because the body was so badly burned.
