Boy, medic honored for rescuing drowning child in Galveston

GALVESTON, Texas - A young boy is one of two people being honored for rescuing a drowning child in Galveston.

Young Jason Sheffield was swimming at an apartment complex with his 5-year-old friend last month. He noticed his friend was missing and got help from Adan Carcano, a medic who happened to be nearby. 

Carcano found the 5-year-old at the bottom of the pool and revived him with CPR.

The 5-year-old was treated at the hospital and released.
