Body found under missing woman's home

Rosemarie Hutcheson last seen alive on Friday

CHANNELVIEW, Texas - A body was found under a trailer in Channelview, and investigators suspect it belongs to a missing woman who lived there.

Rosemarie Hutcheson, 52, was last seen on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in Channelview. Texas EquuSearch volunteers found the body about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Hutcheson's husband, Sam, said his wife went for a walk and did not come back home.

"I said, 'Where are you going?' She didn't respond and she looked at me," Sam Hutcheson said.

Sam Hutcheson said he saw his wife step over a small fence and into a thick wooded area. She didn't take her personal belongings with her.

Rosmarie Hutcheson had been suffering with depression recently, her husband said.

"Her depression level has been going up for probably the last two months," Sam Hutcheson said. "Stress has been building because of our daughter."

Sam Hutcheson said his wife had not gone to work in two weeks and she had missed doctor's appointments.

Investigators said there appears to be no signs of foul play. An autopsy will determine a cause of death.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
